Refund and Removal Policy
Last updated: 1 August 2026
The short version
- Contact us within seven calendar days if a purchase was accidental or not right for you.
- Duplicate charges, failed fulfillment, and materially defective access qualify for a full refund.
- We currently issue full refunds only; approved refunds return to the original payment method.
- Your mandatory consumer rights apply even if this policy says otherwise.
1. Scope
This policy applies to one-time purchases of Single Location access and 30- or 90-day Elite Pass access purchased directly through Elite Drops. There are no automatically renewing subscriptions. If a marketplace or other authorized seller is introduced later, that seller's disclosed refund process may apply to purchases it processes.
2. Seven-day customer-care window
You may request a full refund within seven calendar days after purchase. We will normally approve the request when the purchase was accidental, the wrong product or location was selected, or the service did not meet reasonable expectations and the access has not been substantially used.
Opening a page or making a small number of calculations to check the product does not automatically make a request ineligible. We may decline an elective refund where records show extensive use, sharing, automation, or policy abuse, but we will explain the reason. This limitation never overrides a refund required by law or the service-fault rules below.
3. Refunds for service or payment faults
You are eligible for a full refund when:
- you were charged more than once for the same purchase;
- payment succeeded but the purchased access was not delivered within a reasonable time after you contacted support;
- the purchased access is materially different from the product, duration, or location shown immediately before checkout;
- a defect within Elite Drops prevents meaningful use and we cannot restore access within a reasonable time; or
- applicable law requires a refund, cancellation, withdrawal right, price reduction, or other remedy.
If checkout detects a duplicate payment, invalid environment, disabled country, or location that became unavailable before fulfillment, the system is designed to request a full refund automatically and withhold the entitlement. Contact support if the refund does not appear.
4. Usually non-refundable situations
Unless law requires otherwise, we normally do not refund:
- a request made after the seven-day customer-care window when the purchased service worked as described;
- an Elite Pass merely because it expired or was not used;
- account deletion, failure to cancel a teammate invitation, or loss of access caused by a material violation of the Terms;
- changes in your device, internet connection, Fortnite account, tournament eligibility, skill, preference, or gameplay outcome; or
- a temporary outage that is resolved within a reasonable period without materially depriving you of the purchased service.
5. Fortnite location changes and removals
Single Location access follows the stable catalog location selected at checkout. Renames, coordinate corrections, new targets, and routine map updates remain covered. A temporary outage does not end ownership.
If a Fortnite update permanently removes the logical location, we may retire it because continued service is impossible. If retirement occurs within 30 days after purchase, contact support and we will issue a full refund. After 30 days, retirement does not automatically qualify for a refund, but mandatory consumer remedies still apply. This rule does not apply when we can map the purchase to the same logical location under a new name or corrected catalog record.
6. How to request a refund
- Open a private Elite Drops Discord support ticket.
- Provide the Elite Drops order ID shown on your Account page — this is a Stripe Checkout Session ID for card purchases and a PayPal order ID for PayPal purchases — along with the purchase date and a short explanation.
- Do not send a full card number, security code, password, authentication token, or teammate invitation link.
We may ask you to verify control of the purchasing account. We aim to acknowledge requests within two business days and decide complete requests within five business days. These are service targets, not limits on rights provided by law.
7. How approved refunds are paid
The current system supports full refunds only. Approved refunds are issued through the same processor that took the payment — Stripe for card purchases, PayPal for PayPal purchases — to the original payment method, and recorded against the order. We do not issue cash, gift cards, or refunds to a different person or payment method.
Stripe card refunds usually appear as a credit within 5–10 business days, depending on the bank. PayPal timing depends on the original payment method: a PayPal Balance refund may arrive the same day, while bank and card refunds can take longer. Your processor account or card statement shows the authoritative status.
PayPal permits a seller to issue a full or partial refund through its refund flow within 180 days of payment. That provider limit does not erase a right or remedy that applies after 180 days. If the PayPal refund flow is no longer available, we will review another lawful way to resolve an approved request.
When a full refund is confirmed, access granted by that order ends. Other purchases and unrelated Free Proof uses are not removed. Taxes included in the refunded charge are returned as handled by the processor and applicable law.
8. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please contact support first when practical; we may be able to resolve the issue faster. This is a request, not a condition of exercising a lawful dispute right. Report an unrecognized or unauthorized payment to the payment provider promptly. We will not permanently ban an account merely for making a good-faith chargeback or payment dispute.
While a payment dispute is open, paid access may be temporarily restricted while we verify the transaction and prevent duplicate recovery. If the dispute is resolved in your favor, that purchase remains refunded and its entitlement ends. If resolved in our favor, eligible access is restored. Other enforcement for a fraudulent or abusive dispute requires evidence, must be proportionate, and may be appealed through support.
9. Digital-content and consumer rights
Checkout may ask you to request immediate performance of digital access after payment. In some places, beginning immediate performance with your express consent affects a statutory withdrawal or cancellation period. That consent does not remove rights for faulty, misdescribed, or undelivered service, or any right that cannot legally be waived.
The voluntary seven-day window above does not shorten a longer statutory period that applies to you. For example, some distance-sale laws provide a 14-day withdrawal period unless a valid exception for immediately supplied digital content or services applies. This policy adds a customer-care process; it does not replace legal warranties, guarantees, cooling-off periods, or remedies that apply where you live.
10. Account deletion
Deleting an account permanently removes live access and is not itself a refund request. If you want both a refund and deletion, request the refund first so we can verify the order and respond. Required financial records may remain after deletion as explained in the Privacy Notice.
Contact and policy changes
Send refund questions through Elite Drops Support. Material changes to this policy apply prospectively and will not reduce rights attached to a purchase already completed.
